Open Ocean

At precisely 3:34 AM we left the Beagle Channel and entered open sea.  I know this because I went from being tenderly rocked asleep by the ship a few hours before to rolling 20-30 degrees.  It is interesting trying to sleep while getting a head ruch every ten seconds.  We woke up to an announcement the the wind was a little less than expected and the following quote, "never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes...that way you will be a mile away when you do it!"  Unfortunately it is difficult to get a mile away on this 300' ship.  Luckily I don't have any criticism for my roomate Winston (he doesn't snore!  yay!).  Scott is roomed with a brit named Robyn.  He was so stoked he might be able to meet a cool ski chick on this trip and actually be roomed with one.  Turns out Robyn is a guy.  Scott's luck with women continues....

There isn't much on tap today on the ship.  There is no climbing wall, pool, or mickey mouse characters to make fun of.  Probable do lots of reading and see some slideshows on birds.  At least sleep will be easy to come by!
