We just got back from skiing Antarctica. We took a zodiac to the base of a glacier and climbed up a 100 foot steep pitch to get on top. The snow was heavy and crusty making for some ballet-like turns (think perouettes) but we accomplished two laps. We then had a precarious couple of kick turns back down to the water with the risk of tumbling in with the penguins. So this marks skiing continent #3 for Scott and I, with Scott adding a bonus of wiping out on all three continents. The view from the mountain tops adds a whole new dimension to experiencing Antarctica!
